HELLO!
I’m Ivan Talwar

ABOUT ME
My Background
I am an experienced Information Security (InfoSec) professional that thrive best by aligning the information security goals with those of the business. Being a CISO, I work with a business advisor mindset and act as a trusted infosec stakeholder to assist the organization in not merely fulfilling their bare minimum infosec obligations; but to excel in the area. I have been actively engaging in the education sector with other universities to share my views, ideas and methodologies that are propelling us to be one of the best in the sector. My past operations experiences combined with my formal education in InfoSec management and recent job responsibilities places me in a special place where I can operate in both administrative as well as technical capacities to drive the business towards success. I frequently speak on public platforms to voice my opinions on different aspects of information security.
Being a student, I was fortunate enough to be provided some great platforms and exposure in huge arenas to showcase my know‐how in the subject. I represented Norway at Cyber9/12 Challenge at Geneva, Switzerland (organized by the likes of NATO, Deloitte etc.) as the squad leader for the Norway where I led the team of two academics and two cyber defense students. In October of 2018, I was the part of the Norwegian team that won the Thinkathon (by Interpol) in Singapore. Consequently, I was re‐invited to give a keynote at their assembly in January, 2019 in Singapore.
I like to connect with the mission and vision of an organization that drives me to achieve goals that might seem distant in very short amount of time. Having oversaw both small and big teams, I understand the essence of good leadership to lead teams to success.
